Drinkin’ Outta Paper

Black people love drinking out of paper - like paperbags and paper cups. Back in the day, old black men would get together out front of the building. They would get some folding chairs and sit outside all day in front of the building laughing, talking, gossiping and sipping out of papercups. Sometimes they would sit in a car and do this. We used to call it, “the party car”. Sometimes they played dominoes, checkers, or cards on overturned garbage cans.

If you sip out of a paperbag, noone will suspect that you have some hooch. You will fool everyone and noone will notice that you are getting drunker by the minute. This is a very clever ruse that will fool everyone, including the po-lice. The paperbag can hold a variety of things. Back in the day it was Boon’s Farm Apple (Blossom) Wine (moi’s favorite) or Strawberry Wine, Thunderbird (What’s the word?), Four Roses, Colt 45, Old English 800, half Cream White Concord and half Colt 45, Swiss Up, Hombre, or a pint of whatever - just to name a few.

To add a really classy touch, black people twist the paperbag around the neck of their pint. When saving some for later, they like to carry it in their back pocket. That way you can walk (stagger) around the ‘hood and visit awhile. If they have can, they push one side of the bag down so they can take sips. After a while the bag will be all wrinkled, greasy, and nasty looking, but this doesn’t matter because they look like they are having a refreshing coke.

Drinking some cheap shit out of a greasy paperbag, black people love that shit.
